There are a lot of birds nesting, and even if some birds didn't come to Finland due to the cold weather, there is still plenty of singing to be heard. <br /><br />Song of a bird calms the mind, and I feel that applies especially in an environment not disturbed by urban sounds. <br /><br />Researchers (Timothy Gentner et al.) have found that starlings can be trained to recognize sound patterns based on recursion – the embedding of sentences within sentences - which is the basis of human language.
