Sheds blood to pry the gemstone from the ground

On October 17th we visited the old quarry at Härksaari in Torronsuo swamp. I brought a shovel with me for a little big of digging, following the orders of the youngest daughter who really likes rocks.

If you loved only what were worth your love

Last Thursday I went with the children for a walk at Torronsuo swamp, which is the biggest swamp in southern Finland. There is also an old quarry to be seen at Härksaari, of great interest to the youngest daughter who likes rocks. When we came home she said that this had been the best day of the year.
