This morning I walked for two hours at Paloheinä in the Central Park in Helsinki. I climbed hills, explored the nature protection area, and checked the level of flooding by the Vantaajoki river. I saw two white-tailed deer, and they didn't notice me until I was at 20 meters distance.

Yesterday we had snow. This morning almost all had melted away. It was raining. I walked almost two hours along the paths and across the fields in Petikko. There were two cars at the parking place. I met a man and two dogs.
The amount of flooding is quite remarkable. Some paths that I remember being quite passable even during spring flooding are now difficult to walk even if you have tall rubber boots.

This morning I walked for three hours in Meiko, visiting lake Tränuhals, lake Kommelpott and Grenomossen swamp. I returned to the car via lake Kotolampi, and took a shortcut on the ice at lake Mustlampi. It was quiet. I'm getting to like Grenomossen, because of the silence.

The photographs were taken on November 14th at Sipoonkorpi. The swamp near Viirilä was flooded. It was quiet, and no other people were to be seen or heard.
So far I have got 4869 km riding on the bicycle this year. The 5000 km milestone is quite feasible to reach before the end of the year.

The photographs were taken on July 27th at Koli. It was raining for most of the time we were there, so much that the paths were flooding. The sun came out just as we were leaving.

These photographs were taken on March 8th at Tremanskärr swamp. It was a wet day, and the swamp was flooding.
Every once in a while I check the statistics of my Flickr account. It used to be that there were 100-200 views per day, but when I got the LX100 five months ago, the view count rose by a factor of 100, to 10,000 per day. Since then the count has gone down, but it is still between 1,000-4,000 per day.
It can't be that I'm suddenly a much better photographer, it is just that for some reason people continue to be interested in photographs taken with the LX100. And some photographs which I didn't feel would be especially interesting are getting a lot of views. For example, this night-time photograph has got almost 2,000 views.
