Today was a fine day for commuting by bicycle, -4 °C in the morning and +10 °C in the afternoon. So far this year I have got 1,446 km riding the bicycle.

This morning I walked for 2 hours 20 minutes around lake Meiko, visiting lake Vaipo and lake Vitträsk as well. In many places the frozen snow carried a person walking. I walked through the open swamp Slätmossen. On the Meiko lake there were people skiing and ice-fishing, but otherwise it was very quiet.

This morning I walked for almost two hours, starting well before sunrise. Because of snow it wasn't dark, and the cold weather (-13 °C) had frozen the paths. It seems that we will have cold and dry weather for a while, for a week at least. That is good.
