The photographs were taken at lake Hiisijärvi, which is an interesting place to visit because of the white sand dunes.

I wrote another poem about Trump, or tried at least.

I love dark money,
building golden towers,
and admire myself in the mirrors.
Poisoning air, earth and water
I set the world on fire.

I'll be traveling on Friday. These photographs were taken on May 8th at Vierumäki. The spring was less advanced than in the Helsinki region. There had been quite a lot of logging done in the forests, including clear cutting. And sand transport was going on.

Here are photographs taken at Korkeasaari Zoo last Tuesday, showing the results of the Art Meets Sand 2013 competition. This seems to have become a yearly tradition at Korkeasaari.

Today we went for a swim at Luukki, the weather was warm, +25 °C, but there was occasionally heavy wind, up to 7 m/s. The children had a nice time swimming, it felt like real summer.

Next week we have plans of traveling north, all the way to (east) Lapland. I'm not sure what is the mosquito situation there, but we hope to do a little bit of walking in the hills of Lapland, have to see how it goes.
