Here are three photographs from Imatra, and this is the last installment of photographs on our trip north during the vacation. I should start processing my photographs from Luukki and Meiko, but there are other temptations, such as a big pile of books from the library.

On December 31st, from the rapids at Imatra I walked down the river Vuoksi, along a narrow neck of land by Mellonlahti. Here are some river views from the walk.
Today I commuted by bicycle to work, and walked to a meeting. Also, I used my desk at work in the upright position, standing by the desk instead of sitting. And I didn't use the lift but climbed the stairs in the buildings.
In all, I rode the bicycle for almost two hours, and walked for half an hour. Maybe a bit too much exercise for one day, but I don't feel too exhausted nevertheless.

There were a lot of boats on the shore of river Vuoksi in Imatra. I don't know if they are for fishing or just for enjoying the river scenery.

I walked down the river Vuoksi at Imatra, and there were a lot of electric lines hanging above, coming from the power plant at the rapids. The total power is currently 178 MW, but there are renovations going on, to replace oldest turbines with newer ones, raising the power to 192 MW in 2013-2015. The engineer inside me approves.
