At speed that smears the light

The photographs were taken on February 17th in Helsinki.

Yesterday I walked for three hours in Petikko, across the snow-covered fields and forests. By the Petikko golf field there were bird observers with telescopes and tripods by the roadside, and when I walked up the snow-covered field they asked whether I had seen anything. "Just landscape", I answered.

And saw him like a hurt beast

The photographs were taken on February 10th.

I commuted by bicycle today. In the morning the temperature was -18 °C, and the gear hub got stuck on the lowest gear. Riding uphill wasn't too bad, but otherwise it was far from optimal as one had to pedal really, really fast to reach 19 km/h speed.

So close to where the earth is bisected

The photograph was taken on February 10th.

I haven't commuted by bicycle this week, but tomorrow it might be feasible. Have to see how it goes.
