We got rain today, and as always, it made the landscape look good. It there anything better for a photographer than rain?

On thing which I thought about today was green. Namely the question whether the jpeg images of the LX3 look unnatural? The topic of rendering green as too green (and not yellowish as it usually really is) came up at Andreas' blog, and made me ponder.

Anyway, right now I think I can live with the jpeg rendering. One thing which I could try is to tweak the standard film mode a bit - on the other hand, I don't like to do such things if not absolutely necessary. In any case, the green in these photographs looks relatively natural to me.

Here are two photographs, of which I slightly prefer the second one except for that bit of black dirt on the stem of the flower. Which would have been easy to get rid of...

Anyway, does the dirt disturb you? Or do you prefer the first one for some other reason?

And this brings up the topic of cleaning up the subject of a photograph. I don't do it, except sometimes bending some branches or grass to get a better view to the subject. So, what do you thing of using scissors and tweezers to get the photograph you want?

I have continued being close to the subjects of photographs. Also, I haven't managed to go for longer walks, so these photographs - as well as those taken yesterday - were taken about 100 m from home.

Of the two "Hay" photographs I couldn't decide which is better, so I'm asking you: which one do you prefer?
