And flew far out of sight ...

The photographs were taken in Luukki on January 9th. It was rather cold then.

We got some more snow today, and it didn't melt away. It looks like winter once again. I'm planning to commute by bicycle tomorrow.

Sodden edge of sea’s

The photographs were taken in Helsinki on January 7th and 8th.

We got 10 cm of wet snow today. Near the coast in Helsinki almost all of the snow melted away, but a few kilometers north most of it still remains. For tomorrow there is colder weather in the forecast, and a bit more snow.

Between my finger and my thumb

The photographs were taken in Helsinki on January 7th and 8th.

I commuted by bicycle today. There was no snow left on the road. The ice and gravel slowed the going a bit, but the commute times was only 55 minutes, not bad. For tomorrow the weather forecast promises 5-10 cm of wet snow, or perhaps rain, so the road conditions will be bad.
