Between my finger and my thumb

The photographs were taken in Helsinki on January 7th and 8th.

I commuted by bicycle today. There was no snow left on the road. The ice and gravel slowed the going a bit, but the commute times was only 55 minutes, not bad. For tomorrow the weather forecast promises 5-10 cm of wet snow, or perhaps rain, so the road conditions will be bad.

(Posting title is from the poem Digging by Seamus Heaney. Originally I used a title I had been using already earlier, sorry for a potential confusion.)
