Walking

This has been a busy week. Renovations at home, a multitude of things happening at work. Haven't had much time for photography. But in any case, here are two photographs taken today.

As a sidenote, Dpr published their in-depth review of the Canon S90. Not unexpected results. I'll pass and continue using my LX3. But yet, I'm looking at the micro 4/3 cameras with interest.

I really like today's second image, it's hard to notice things like that and you did it very well. Regarding micro 4/3, I'm really enjoying my GF1 as a lightweight carry around camera to compliment my 5D mkII, especially on cycle rides when I need something compact. It reminds me so much of the Olympus 35RD that I have so many nostalgic memories of.

I asked my local camera shop to allow me to shoot a couple of jpegs in the LX3 and the S90.

The LX3 is superior in color rendition and the way it handles exposure, in my experience.

Both have artifacts and some smearing of detail at 100%, but for 'normal' viewing I am impressed with the LX3.

I guess you must be; you've got one!

I looked at the GF1 again, but to get a range of focal lengths one is looking at a much bigger lens as well as the fact that it is a substantially bigger camera - and then it is no longer a 'pocketable' camera.

So I am leaning to the LX3 and near to the time to buy one....

@Colin: Actually, I walked past this a couple of times until I noticed it.

@David: It is definitely worthwhile to try out the cameras in person, to get a feeling of the handling.
