We didn't get thunder and lightning, but it did rain during the night. I went for a walk in Tremanskärr swamps and forests, taking it slow, looking at signs of spring, and they were plentiful.

A moment of profound silence followed.

Hi Juha,
I always enjoy the photos you post, especially the ones taken in the forested areas that you walk in. Out of curiosity, how far do you have to travel from your home to get to these scenic areas?
Regards,
Errol
@Error: Thanks!
The nearest forest starts 20 meters from my front door, and it is a nice forest, even though not very big.
To Tremanskärr it takes 10 minutes by car, and to Luukki 15 minutes. Today I went to Nuuksio, and that takes 25 minutes by car, and thus I don't go there very often.
"Rowan" works perfectly for me - I like its quietness combined with the distinctive shape of the tree, and also these variations of soft, unobtrusive green. For me this is an image to relax in.
@Markus: Yes, the green, that soothes. Originally I wanted to take a landscape photograph of the swamp, but then I noticed this fine rowan waiting for a portrait to be taken.
