Shall at that time be sorrowful and sad

The photographs were taken at Vuorela near Kuopio on July 22nd.

I'm more and more astounded about the rise of hate speech, Donald Trump being just one example of the narcissistic clowns who have no heart.

(Posting title is from the poem On the Cards and Dice by Sir Walter Ralegh.)

Actually I don't like the term "Hate Speech". It's already being abused by both sides, and on both sides the consequence is censorship.

But then, yes, there is an enormous amount of self-enforcing verbal violence, stirred by populists who try to exploit shallow brains and their desire for simple solutions.

But it's not that simple either. Lots of not so shallow brains have relized that everybody in politics is deep in the pockets of big money, and therefore the only thing to be expected from even non-populists is to be not populist. That's little bit shallow on results, and therefore more and more people give up hope and leave the field to those with hot anger and short memory.

It's depressing, because if their memory were longer, they could easily know that populists never solve problems, but instead create tons of new ones.

It seems that things are on the verge of breaking apart, with bad lessons to be learned, all over the globe. Here in Finland a young (Finnish) man died after being attacked by a neo-nazi, but some of the leading politicians are even now very friendly with these groups, confusing things by mixing up immigrations issues with the actions of violent political groups. One starts to be afraid of what can happen.

Same here, same everywhere. The real problems are still capitalism and the globally increasing gap between rich and poor, but since the collapse of the USSR, anything that could be considered "left" has been completely abandoned by the left. The "Market" has become a religion and instead of being conscious of their real problems, people let themselves be played off against each other.

Well, there are a few politicians even in Finland who seem to have a grasp on the situation, but even they are often blindsided by various interest groups glamouring for attention. No one seems to be able to carry responsibility.
