A fiery finger on the leaves

The photographs were taken on November 17th.

The length of day is now six hours, which means that it is dark when commuting. Today there was a little bit of snowfall in the afternoon, but for the night the weather forecast promises rain.

(Posting title is from the poem In Memoriam A. H. H. OBIIT MDCCCXXXIII: 99 by Lord Tennyson.)

The echo in #2 is perfect, but the images als work well together as a triplet.

And I looked up the Tennyson poem. Well worth the read.

Thank you, Markus!

The poem doesn't actually describe how it feels in the dark season - "So loud with voices of the birds" is definitely not how it is - but still, there is something fitting in the poem.
