That sees us through our ambiguities

On September 6th, early in the morning, fog covered the city of Tampere. It was quiet, and I met only half a dozen people while walking along the Tammerkoski channel of rapids.

(Posting title is from the poem Four Postulates by Michael Anania.)

Tampere looks like an interesting town. I read a bit on Wikipedia and see that it is between two lakes at quite different levels, hence the rapids. I really like the foggy look and the (apparent) art piece over the street in the last photo.

The area by the rapids used to be an industrial area, thanks to water power, but nowadays it is a place for art, technology etc.

The art piece (suit jackets hanging over the street) perhaps refers to the textile industry that used to thrive here, before the production moved to China and India.
