Very fine, Juha - the graphical patters you can encounter in forests are always interesting to look at. And in your pictures I love very much those subtle colors.
Thank you, Markus.
We are having plenty of subtlety right now, as the days are less than six hours long, and the sun never rises high above the horizon. And there haven't been many sunny days either, so the conditions for taking subtle photographs have been almost perfect... But I do admit that I'm really really waiting to see some snow.
Juha, in the process of moving office I found the boarding passes of my December 1999 business trip to Helsinki, and I do remember well how dark an cold it was - but also a lively city with wonderful modern architecture and an impressive cathedral (which gave me as a Roman-Catholic an immensely distant impression)
The cathedral has got through a lot of renovations recently, and is looking good. Recently there was a choral singing event on the steps in front of the building, celebrating 150 years since the birth of Jean Sibelius:

Impressive - both the choir and the cathedral in bright sunshine. Back in 1999 I saw it only merging into grey clouds, fog, and snow.
Well, clouds, fog and snow can be quite a sight as well. One morning, quite early, while walking to work across the Senate Square which is in front of the cathedral, I saw a fox calmly crossing it, on his morning walk I guess, or perhaps returning from his night entertainment.
