Apparently we will get colder weather already tomorrow, so the season of sleet and slush appears to be over for now. But today was still warm, +1...+2 °C, so there was a lot of melting going on.
And people were dropping snow down from the roofs, trying to avoid excessive snow load. But there have been accidents, people have fallen down from roofs or being buried under the falling snow. Several people even died as a result of these accidents.
A sort of epidemic of roof-falling here in Finland. No cure to this, I'm afraid.
I went also up to the roof last week and shoveled down a lot of snow. I didn't fall down, I jumped - to a big pile of very soft snow. That was fun.
