So bright it hurts (but it feels good)

Today was a sunny day, blue sky, white snow. I went for a walk with our yougest daughter, who liked to climb on top of piles of snow, and to walk on show (the snow was strong enough to carry her but not me). Because of the brightness, it was sometimes hard to take photographs, as the eyes were hurting, but I managed nevertheless to take some.

After those long, dark winter days the sunshine is even more valuable, and blue and white is always a wonderful combination. But deducing from the amount of snow in your last image, it will probably take some time until spring is fully here.

There is still 62 cm of snow (official figure in Vantaa), but the amount is slowly decreasing due to evaporation. But I agree, it will be a while until the snow is gone.

Here in this part of Canada, we only had a few centimeters of snow in early December, and it melted within a day. Far cry from last winter when we had a meter of snow in a week, which stayed on the ground for about 6 weeks.
Great pics Juha!!

Here the show is slowly melting, but very slowly, as the nights are cold and freeze the snow after the daytime sunshine.
