The second day of skiing at the Levi resort in Lapland went well: after 5 km of so the Peltonen nanoskis started to glide reasonably well, and it was a pleasure to be skiing. All in all I was skiing for over 2 1/2 hours, which was about the maximum in my current condition.
I carried the LX3 with me, but a colleague had a Nikon D40X plus a tripod plus some additional things with him. Quite a load to carry while skiing!
Even though the skis performed well, all went not so well, as the skin around my neck got abraded against the jacket. There was some pain which made getting sleep difficult.
There are one or two additional postings to be made about Lapland, after which I'll return to the regular program here.
A moment of profound silence followed.
