I experimented once again with motion blur, trying to achieve an interesting texture by walking at the same time while taking photographs in a forest. The results were sometimes surprising.
My intention was to combine out-of-focus with motion blur, insprired by the nice results Andreas is getting with his bokeh experiments, but that doesn't seem to be something that would work. Or maybe I haven't yet found how to do it. So here I used autofocus to get some part of the photograph sharp.
A moment of profound silence followed.

Just your recipe: manual focus, 24 mm, nearest focus distance, aperture as you see fit for the effect you want to achieve :)
Going to f8 is problematic though. You'd better not have the slightest smudge on your lens, or even, dog forbid, a speck of dust. You'll see it :)
The particular image that you've linked to was at f5.
It is very seldom I have used f8, but indeed the dirt on the lens becomes apparent. I tend to forget to clean the lens, but on the other hand, it doesn't always matter.
Shoot into the sun and it matters big time :D :D :D
