We had a walk in the Nuuksio wilderness yesterday. On Saturday we got 10-20 cm of snow, but Sunday was a sunny day. We went to Nuuksio because we expected that the paths would be mostly good thanks to a lot of people visiting the place, and it was so, mostly.
We made a shortcut across lake Haukkalampi, to the west side where a trail goes around the lake. There we walked along unbroken snow, although following a track where snowshoes had made the show hard enough for walking, under the cover of the fresh snow. The children enjoyed especially going downhill, sliding on the fresh snow which had piled on top of old, icy snow.
Here are some photographs from yesterday, it was a fine day to be outdoors, once again.
