Only that film, which fluttered on the grate

On December 30th there was snow and frost on the trees. I took photographs, but it is difficult to select which are the best for a posting. In the end I thought that these three are good enough, and decided to include all three.

(Posting title is from the poem Frost at Midnight by Samuel Taylor Coleridge.)

Nothing less than perfect, Juha. What a gift from nature, to put snow like powder over the birches' twigs, creating a high key image for your eyes and camera. Fine.

I was suffering from fever and other symptoms of the flu, but when I saw how the forests look like, I just to go out and take a couple of photographs... It is not often one sees such display.
