The photographs were taken at Myllyjärvi south of Luukki on June 19th.
Today is a rainy day once again. In the morning I walked for 2 1/2 hours in Nuuksio south of lake Suolikas. I found a lake where there were Gavia stellata, a parent with a young one floating on the water. This was quite a surprise, I never thought this lake would have a nesting pair. So far this summer I have seen six pairs of Gavia stellata with young ones. I ate blueberries and cloudberries while watching the birds.
