As I trace small paths

The photograph was taken on January 21st.

Today I walked for two hours, criss-crossing the Timmermalmi nature protection area. This was the first visit, and even though the area is not large, there are a lot of hills and swamps to explore. I think I'll return there when spring colors start to come out.

(Posting title is from the poem PATHS by John Montague.)

Juha, this image is certainly able to drive away all those armageddon thoughts, that carrot finger's aide tries to bring over the western world. In that way, beauty is a way to #resist.

Thank you, Markus. You are right, looking at the beauty of the world can help to counter the wickedness generated by Agent Orange. And then there are people like Elizabeth Warren, who not only #resist but also #persist.

Yes, I followed the #shepersisted - this is amazing. But still, there seems to be such a huge divide between the T.-supporters, who just seem to follow their gut instincts regardless of any greater context, and those who share those values Warren stood up for. How this can be overcome, I don't know.

The supporters have got into wishful thinking to such a degree that there is may not be hope of cure. It seems somewhat similar to the situation of pyramid scheme victims, some of whom never lose their trust in the swindler despite all the evidence.

But still, what happens seems impossible, to know that he is lying all the time and even then trusting the promises which have no factual basis and in fact work against the interests of the supporters.
