My eyes look into the top of my head

The photographs were taken at Petikko on May 14th.

The political situation in Finland changes almost hourly, as if we were following a scripted drama. The populist Finns Party selected an openly racist leader, and the government was on the verge of breaking up, but today the parliamentary group of the Finns Party broke up instead. It may be that soon we will have two populist parties, one of them less openly racist as the other one.

(Posting title is from the poem Allegory of Evil in Italy by Stanley Moss.)

Interesting times, and not so much reason for hope - two right wing parties *might* cannibalize themselves, but what I fear is that they can make right wing arguments fashionable, regardless of the underlying lies.

Apparently there is quite a fight (including even death threats) going on between the two groups. The another group is no less racist but wants to keep on working within the government, the other is ok to work from the opposition. There is no clear difference between them in the aims (i.e., building walls around Finland), it is more about power struggle and who is in charge.
