The photograph was taken on November 26th.
Snow has been melting away due to rain. Only about 3 cm is remaining, and in many places none. And more rain is in the weather forecast for the next two days.
This morning I walked for 2 3/4 hours at Kytäjä-Usmi outdoor are in Hyvinkää, 50 km north of Helsinki. There was plenty of snow, 10-20 cm. It was quiet. I didn't meet any other people walking even though there were some tracks in the snow.

OK, this is only end of November, but otoh this is Finland. Am I wrong or would there usually be more snow and lower temperatures at that time of the year?
Here in Austria we have a pretty normal winter in terms of snow, but it is definitely warmer than it used to be. And then again: looking to Canada and the US, it's again very different :D
The weather has been about normal this winter so far, a little warmer, and plenty of rain. There have been years when there is half a meter of snow in December, but that is quite rare. A ”black Christmas” (no snow) is almost as usual as a white Christmas. Sometimes we get ”real snow” as late as end of January. Much depends on the prevailing wind direction - dry and cold from Siberia or wet and warm from the Atlantic Ocean, and everything in between. Often the mountain ranges in Norway dry up the air before it arrives here.
