Thanks to Cedric for the comment about Plato's cave (and related topics). It is good to know that I'm not alone in having such thoughts.
I have been pondering this topic - can't help not to - and there are several avenues that might need exploring. One is the way how a sort of unreality seems to permeate everything nowadays, even reporting on topics such as science: journalists are making claims that are easily seen to be misleading or incorrect. It seems that we are too often tempted by the easy way - not thinking ourselves.
The other issue is the matter of doing things by hand. Are we losing our touch to the underlying reality? As Saramago writes in the novel The Cave, we have brains in our hands also, and sometimes these brains - which know how to make pottery, for example - are smarter than the one in our head.
But, whatever, I'm a bit tired. Here are two photographs, from yesterday. Didn't have much energy for photography today.
