A clouded day is good for photography. And so is getting close to the subjects. In addition, spring brings colors, which is a feast for the eyes.
By the way, TOP had a nice posting about f/1.4 lenses. I like to use f/2.0 on the LX3, just to see how the world looks like in such a photograph.
