I returned to the pond of which I wrote yesterday. Today I noticed a dragonfly moving around in the sunshine. Libellula quadrimaculata is one of the most common ones. Having a bit more reach to the zoom of the LX3 would be nice, as I didn't manage to get as near as I would have liked.
This pond is not natural. It is man-made, to compensate another man-made thing. Namely, the nearby marshes have ditches, from which quite a lot of peat was floating to a lake. The pond was made to improve the water quality in the lake by allowing the silt to settle on the bottom of the pond before reaching the lake.

@Art: Even though a lot of people walk on the paths nearby, not many seem to know about this pond, so in that way it is also nice.
Only a good photographer knows where to look. It is not the camera my friend :) There are images at arm's length if you have a good eye for composition and imagination.
Keep up the great work.
