This morning I looked carefully at the weather forecasts and weather radars, and thought that there would be some time until the rain front would get here. So I went for a bicycle ride.
However, the rain arrived - together with thunder and lightning - when I was quite a distance from home. I thought it would pass quite soon, but I kept on getting more and more wet.
In the end it was raining so hard that I had to spit out every few seconds the water that got into the mouth when inhaling. And at home I had to pour water away from the bicycle shoes.
Well, at least the rain wasn't too cold; it was refreshing, a warm summer shower.

At least your camera survived the wet! Do you have mudguards?
@Colin: I have been in pouring rain with the LX3 plenty of times - I just wipe of most of the water and let it dry. I was more worried about the mobile phone, but no trouble there either.
Yes, I do have mudguards; it would have been rather messy otherwise.
@Colin: Unfortunately, it turned out that the LX3 didn't survive the thunderstorm. The lens doesn't retract and the camera gives out error messages.
Oh dear! I carry my LX5 in a waterproof lens case in the back pocket of my cycling jersey - and I still worry about it.
@Colin: I should have taken a case. Now I had the camera in a pocket of my loose-fitting bike shorts, and they got soaking wet. But it may be that wetness wasn't really the culprit for the breaking.
