Why stay we on the earth unless to grow?

Here are photographs of some bugs I noticed on June 30th in Luukki. Dozens of them were flying at the same time. I haven't got around to identifying the species yet, even though I have an idea what they could be.

Update: I'm pretty sure that Mystacides longicornis is the species.

Today is going to be a rainy day here at Kilpisjärvi. We will do some exploration of Lapland by car. And maybe a little bit of walking as well.

(Posting title is from the poem Cleon by Robert Browning.)
