It meant we’d be lying low for some time

The Korpinkierros route in Nuuksio is 7.8 kilometers long, marked with yellow trail blazes so that it is hard (although not impossible) to get lost. Usually there are quite a few people walking along the route, but during winter there are days when you meet only a couple of people along the way. In winter there is a track which is easy to follow, except when there has been a heavy snowfall, then the path may be hidden under the snow in some places.

(Posting title is from the poem I pinch myself hard on the inner arm by Susan Hampton.)

I've been meaning to drop by since you got your new camera. In fact I did one time but Blogger made it too hard to leave a comment so I gave up. We'll see how this one goes.

I wanted to say that I have noticed a marked difference between the new camera and your previous one. Everything from sharpness to colour and even details in shadows etc. Quite impressive. The images on this post are good examples too. Great composition in these shots too Juha.

Thanks for going through the hurdle of writing a comment, it isn't always easy these days with the spammers trying to mess things up.

I agree that there is a difference between the LX100 and the LX5/LX3, but for me it isn't that easy to define what it is. I have been doing a bit more post-processing than I did with the LX5/LX3, experimenting, and that may be a factor.

As a photographer the main thing about the LX100 is the feeling of being in control, not on the mercy of automated programs (even though that may actually be the case).
