Here are three images from today: it was a rainy day. And there is a lot of green out there.

Juha,
I've been reading Lightscrape since last fall as I was considering buying an LX3. Your blog was one of the factors that helped me decide to purchase the LX3.
I used the camera a lot last fall but had less time over the winter other than taking basic family photos, holiday shots, and some basic business uses. I will finally have some time to use my LX3 to more of its ability on a trip to Germany and Hungary next week. I was wondering if you would post some of your most frequently used color settings, both for natural and urban shots? Your images always seem to come out so vibrantly. Would you mind? I know there is no perfect setting for all conditions, but I would be interested in knowing your favorites.

Also, what image size do you tend to shoot? Highest (~10MB?), mid, or lower (~3MB)?
Many thanks for a wonderful blog.

Thanks for the comment!

I wrote earlier about the color settings. Nowadays I'm back to the standard mode, with contrast and sharpness turned down by -1. Quite often I'm using Lightzone for post-processing, for increasing (local) contrast.

I'm shooting jpeg with the finest quality.

Wonderful! Thanks Juha. I remember that post and have been working with those settings (somewhat modified) as well. I suppose when I posted yesterday I was wondering if you had started using any new settings since last October, so it's good to know you are still using those general settings. Of course much of the quality of your images comes from practice and your own evident skill and passion for the LX3, not just simple color settings.
I also use LightZone for processing.
Again, many thanks for your blog and your many great images.
