Variations of a sunset

I'm much too tired to decide which of these three photographs best captures the feeling I had on the spot. Melting snow, sunset, spring advancing.

Or maybe they all failed?

It looks f-f-f-f-freezing to me. Here in England we seem to have missed spring and shot straight into summer and the snow is a distant memory that your photos have revived!

I'm waiting for the snow to finally vanish from your photos.

Failed? Not a chance.

In a way it is freezing in a wider sense as well, as this is a remaining pocket of an ancient fight, still going on.

Namely fir is fighting hazel, and thanks to the relatively cold climate of today, fir is winning, but some pockets of hazel resistance remain.

(The climate change caused by humans is another thing altogether, much too fast for the ecosystem to adapt.)

I prefer sunset 3 because of the water reflecting the sky running like a S-shaped path on the lower part of the picture.
