Here I'm demonstrating that I can move the aspect ratio switch from the 1:1 setting to another, if I want. But usually I don't.

Photographs from Finland.

I write book reviews in Finnish in the Valopolku blog.

I never doubted it for a moment! :)
Thanks for "Silhouette", today, and for the line from "Aspects of Robinson", which I am going to read now.
And as Paul confirmed, there's no doubt that you can switch - but then, why should you?
Of Germans it is said that they don't by a device, but they buy possibilities. So I myself am glad that my camera allows this variation of aspect ratios, even if I don't need it at the moment.
@Paul: Nice to hear!
@Markus: The "Aspects" poem was a lucky find, somehow fitting but then, maybe not.
I remember reading about a pro photographer (in the old, old days) who set his favorite settings in the camera, and then removed or glued in all the dials etc. so that it was impossible to change settings by mistake. That sounds good!
Juha, many of my settings on the DSLR could have corroded in and I wouldn't have noticed - aperture priority mode I left rarely, "Intelligent Auto" I think I never touched and of the gazillion theme modes I tried sunset mode once, only to learn that in postprocessing I could do much better.
@Markus: "Intelligence" is definitely overrated!
Amazing photos! The snow looks nice.
@MacKay: Thanks! The snow is nice!
