Today we had clouds, sun, clouds, ... But it is rather warm which makes snow melt. Today the depth of snow here in Vantaa was at 44 cm.
Yes, and length of day is now 12 h 20 min, meaning that it is really, really good compared to the situation a month or two months ago.
A moment of profound silence followed.

Glad to see you're beginning to see a change in season. We had an exceptionally mild winter this year, which came as a blessing to me, given that the past two winters brought historic snowfall.
It's really amazing how quickly you gain and lose sunlight. When you were in the single digit hours, like 6 hours, we had 10 or so. Now, you have 12 h 20 min, we have 12 h 11 min. :) Of course, by 21 June, you'll be way ahead of us in terms of daylight hours.
I know that it is a welcome sight, though.
@Gavin: Well, we did get a lot of snow after mid-January, but before that the winter was rather warm, and dark because of having no snow.
@Paul: There is also a big difference in the quality of light. In mid-winter the sun was low on the horizon even at noon, giving days a quality which is hard to put into words. Now that the sun rises much hight the quality of light has changed a lot, making days feel rather different from what they were.
