No day is right for the apocalypse

Fallen leaves, decorating the ground, a colorful carpet which lasts only a couple of days.

(Posting title is from the poem The Waste Carpet by William Matthews.)

A fine series, Juha. And I enjoy the harmonious shapes of the alder leaves, giving the ernest mood of the fall sceneries a somewhat lighter touch.

Oh, and the title: Perfect...

Thanks, Markus!

The method of finding a title for the posting by googling for poems with a certain word in them works sometimes almost like the subconscious, giving unexpected gems.

Here the search word was "carpet", and the poem started with this line... no reason to look further.

I have used certain titles several times without realizing it when making the posting, and in fact those titles were found rather late in the poem. So it seems that given a certain poem I'm somewhat deterministic in deciding what line to use in the title.

Google works like a human, I work like a machine. Hmmm...
