Last weekend I went with my daughter both on Saturday and Sunday to Kattila in Nuuksio, rather late in the day. On Saturday we walked south from Kattila, and on Sunday towards Salmi in the north.
It took more time than we thought to return to the parking place. On Saturday it was almost an hour after sunset when we came back from the forest. On Sunday we started an hour earlier, but the walk was longer, so we returned to the car half an hour after sunset.
It is of course possible to get lost in Nuuksio, but I'm carrying a compass with me which helps even when the map doesn't. And on Sunday the map failed because some paths that should have been there weren't, thanks to a lot of trees which had fallen across the old path which had disappeared from where it used to be.
(Posting title is from the poem Late, Late, so Late by Lord Tennyson.)
