On November 19th I went for a walk with my daughter to a nearby lake. It was dark and wet.
Recently I have been commuting by bicycle. It is good to have studded winter tires in the bicycle as the temperature varies between -5 °C...+5 °C. There has been ice covered by snow on the road, and without the winter tires it would have been much less safe to commute. On the other hand, the commute takes 10 minutes longer than during summer, but that can't be avoided.
(Posting title is from the poem We grow accustomed to the dark by Emily Dickinson.)
