There are some fine-looking houses in the center of Helsinki.
I commuted by bicycle today, and the gear hub stuck in position 5 when I was returning home, thanks to the temperature dropping below zero. However, after some time the gear hub started working again, probably a case of some moisture inside the cable or the gear switch, forming into ice and then breaking up in pieces.

Re. the bike, you might try Brunox spray on the moving parts. I've made very good experiences with it. You can even apply a thin film on the inner tubes of the Bowden connections - just wipe it with some cloth.
Thanks for the hint, sounds like this could help. A colleague today suggested a product he has at home, but didn't remember the trademark.
