I put the white of the snow at the foot of empty space

I have commuted by bicycle on three days this week, a total of six hours of exercise. The studded winter tires have been useful, as the road has been slippery and icy in quite a few places. But we have very little snow left, because of the rain earlier this week. On December 13 the landscape was white, though.

(Posting title is from the poem Makeup on Empty Space by Anne Waldman.)

The third image is particularly nice. I really like the snow on branches but the composition on #3 works especially well for me.

Thanks, John!

We have had a couple of snowy days, and I have tried to take photographs, but the skill of handling snow is mostly forgotten during the long no-snow season. But even though snow is challenging for taking photographs, it is good for the mood of the photographer.
