Save in the tapestries of afterthought

I went for a walk in Luukki today, walking around lake Vääräjärvi. There was 5-10 cm of snow on the ground, and some still remained in the trees as well, and there was a background noise of frozen snow falling down, otherwise it was rather quiet. There forest bottom was flooded in many places, and ditches and streams were full.

These photographs were taken on December 11th, which was a blurry day, trying to catch up with things as they were happening.

(Posting title is from the poem Year’s End by Richard Wilbur.)
