Today was once again a clouded, rainy and dark day. Here are some photographs showing how it looks out there: wet.
I read with interest the LX5 review by DCR. The reviewers weren't quite satisfied with the camera - but that was mainly to do with video quality. They had two cameras to test and both had the same flaring problem. But that doesn't matter in still photography...

"Black" speaks to me - I enjoy the palette of colors and the DoF, which I would see as just the right amount: sufficient for subject sharpness, little enough to give good background blur.
This is an image I'd like to be seen both with the LX as well as an APS-C camera, just to learn about the different background rendering
Indeed, such a comparison (with different subjects and lighting conditions) would be rather interesting.
After writing and posting that, I once again remembered the NEX-5. It is a pity that the 16 mm pancake has nothing to brag about in the closest focusing distance. A combo of such a lens and such a tiny camera body would be interesting to have, provided it would be versatile enough for subjects such as this one.
