Today I took quite a lot of photographs, and here are some of them, a short story in photographs. It was good to be out walking with the family. The slight drizzle seemed to scare away most people, but when you have the right clothes, weather rarely is a problem.

Lumbermen had been active in the forest... leaving evidence behind.
Of this fine series, "One" triggered my special interest. I did myself a small series on "Suspended Leaves" and found no explanation how a leaf can get speared like this "One". Leaves are of robust material and sturdy surface, and the forces of the wind allow the leaf to evade, but in spite of this theory, transfixed leaves are not rare. Puzzling, to say the least.
@Markus: Indeed, this is a mystery seeking an answer. Maybe someone could explain this with computational modeling - simulating such a leaf and estimating the probability of impact. I guess you would need a supercomputer for such stuff.
But I think the simple explanation is that there are so many leaves, and thus all kinds of things can happen.
