Walk

Here are some photographs taken on a walk through forests and fields here nearby. We haven't had much sunshine during the weekend. Strong winds, instead - tearing the autumn leaves from trees and whirling them around in the air and on the ground. In fact, to such a degree that it has caused problems for trains.

As a diversion - and to lighten up the mood, here is a quote from a funny (or perhaps not so) story about a possible future of humanity:

When the yogurt took over, we all made the same jokes – “Finally, our rulers will have culture,” “Our society has curdled,” “Our government is now the cream of the crop,” and so on. But when we weren’t laughing about the absurdity of it all, we looked into each others’ eyes with the same unasked question – how did we ever get to the point where we were, in fact, ruled by a dairy product?

Fine images - wonderful subtle tones and excellent framing. The inclement weather probably brought just the right kind of light for those nuances.

The story on the other hand is not so suited to lighten the mood. I made the mistake to read the newspaper, and again I have the feeling that reality is overtaking satire in quite a number of fields.

Thanks!

Your comment about newspapers spawned another posting. Indeed, satire (and irony) may soon become extinct.
