In winter I get up at night

Here are more photographs from Luukki, lake Halkolampi, where I returned today with two daughters. We wanted to see again the mouse from yesterday, but there were no signs on it.

We have got more snow, and the snow depth is now 58 cm. More is still to come. Quite a winter we are having.

(Posting title is from the poem Bed in Summer by Robert Louis Stevenson.)

Ha! I would think that a mouse standing between 6-8 cm would be smart enough not to come out in 57 cm of snow! :D As a matter of fact, I'd probably not be one for dealing with that snow and I'm about 180 cm! LOL

You are right, Paul, the mouse was probably warm and cozy under the snow. Since yesterday we got 2 cm more snow, but now it seems that we won't get too much new snow this week.
