I love snow, and all the forms

Here are four photographs taken during last weekend, two at Meiko on Saturday and two at Nuuksio on Sunday. I have been too busy to process any of the newer photographs, and today I haven't taken a single photograph, a rare day for me.

(Posting title is from the song Rarely, rarely, comest thou by Percy Bysshe Shelley.)

That last image was made for me. Wonderful composition and soft, soothing non-colors

Yes, sometimes less (color) is more...

But the landscape is changing fast. It may be that a lot of the snow disappears within a couple of days, if we get rain in addition to temperature staying above 0 °C. Spring floods...

Juha, here in Germany spring is finally here. I don't remember such a long period of cold and dark days, but now it seems to be over. The snow has retreated to the mountains, but the flowers seem to still hold back a bit - only in protected corners you find some snowdrops and crocus, while narcissi are still rare

I had a look at the photographs from last year, and surprisingly it wasn't that much different. Even though there was less snow the spring was still to come. And we did have quite a flood when the snow suddenly melted. I really look forward to the first spring flowers, blue anemones and such.
