And the sheen of their spears was like stars on the sea

When it is dark and you are busy, is there any time for taking photographs? Well, why not take them while you are walking? Here the length of exposure ranges between 1/8 and 1/5 second.

For some reason these photographs gave me a musical feeling. Recently I have attended concerts when my children perform, singing, playing the piano, and playing the guitar. It feels good. Maybe I should start going to concerts more often, even though I know very little about music. The children start to be of that age that they might enjoy a "serious" concert performance, and it might be good for me also.

Last week I had 6 1/2 hours of exercise, four hours when commuting by bicycle, and 2 1/2 hours walking during the weekend. It doesn't feel that much, compared to 10-12 hours of weekly exercise during summer, but I guess it is enough. At least I'm feeling relatively good, despite lack of sleep which bothers me all too regularly.

(Posting title is from the poem The Destruction of Sennacherib by Lord Byron.)

Your blurs are mighty fine, Juha - especially the patterns in the first one are playful and amusing. It's good to remember that there's place for experiments and playing in photography, too.

“A little nonsense now and then, is cherished by the wisest men,” as noted by Roald Dahl. I'm not that wise, and I'm not sure if I'm good at cherishing either, but it is good to do something playful every once in a while.
