Then for a thought my vision cleared

On Monday I went once again shopping with the children. Two hours in a shopping mall went in a hurry. I don't much enjoy shopping, but I guess one gets used to it this time of the year.

(Posting title is from the poem Sir Gawaine and the Green Knight by Yvor Winters.)

I find it hard to get a clear vision with all those "jingle bells" in my ears.

Other than that, I really love advent and Christmas time

Oh yes, "jingle bells" (and the cash register) all the way.

This year Christmas happens nicely in the middle of the week, and there are other holidays as well, so I'll be having 18 days of vacation, which surely is needed.

But there won't be snow for Christmas, which is a pity. These are dark days, but at least there is time to take it easy, and maybe I'll go for a walk on a swamp.
