On May 30th I saw a pair of Gavia stellata at lake Kolperinlampi in Nuuksio. There were two young birds swimming with the adults. The birds seemed almost playful.
The photographs were taken quite far from the birds. The tele end of the LX5 lens is 90 mm equiv., and this doesn't really allow to see the details. But it was nice to see and hear the birds. This was a third pair this summer I observed at their home lake.
